Watson Watson Solicitors is a law firm focusing on corporate and commercial law. I assist in ensuring the smooth operation of the firm’s IT infrastructure. I report directly to the partners. Watson Watson Solicitors uses a wide range of open-source systems for data storage, time tracking, networking and virtual machines, all of which I assist in maintaining. In the period I have been working at the firm, there has been significant change to the systems and hardware, including new enterprise grade servers and new software to track employees' performance. Through this experience, I have expanded my technical knowledge, developing a strong understanding of data integrity, Linux based systems, and best practices in IT support.

EE, part of the Consumer division of BT Group, is a telecommunications company operating across the UK. I work in Shrewsbury as a Sales Advisor. My day-to-day tasks include asking customers questions to gain insights that allow me to sell them a personal solution with the business’ best interests in mind and assisting customers with general queries about their devices or accounts. I achieve these tasks well, as demonstrated in the consistently excellent feedback I receive from customers along with achieving KPIs. Throughout my time with EE, I have improved my communication, sales and problem-solving skills while beginning to develop an understanding of the telecommunications industry.
